WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020!
We wish you all a happy and successful year!
The PTSA would like to thank our IKNS community for their continued support in making last year a success.
Our first event last school year was a fundraiser towards an amazing cause. It earned the school the 2018 Think Pink Community Engagement School Award. Thanks to your generous contributions, we managed to donate BD 3,150 to the charity.
We next had a delightful and spooky movie night. Our K-5 students came with their costumes for an outdoors cinema and light dinner. Funds collected from this event has been put towards buying a new printer for the parent's and student's ID cards. We also had a very successful winter clothes drive where all our workers got new shoes and coats as well as other essentials before the winter break.
Our main event of the year, the annual carnival, was a hit with kids and parents alike. Thanks to the IKNS community's support and generosity, we were able to fully renovate 5 high school restrooms. This renovation included 4 wheelchair accessible bathrooms as well as other safety and stylish components. We also introduced vending machines in both our middle school and high school restrooms.
We concluded the year by collaborating with House of Uniform to produce neat and comfortable new uniforms for our younger students, K to 5, as well as a fun mother-daughter mosaic event where our grade 3 to 5 girls had a great time creating their masterpieces with their parent.
We are happy to announce our exciting events planned for this coming year!
We will kick off the year's events starting with the Think Pink fundraiser at the end of October 2019. We are also happy to announce that the Carnival this year will hopefully take place in cooler weather, at the end of November 2019.
After the holidays, we are planning on hosting an exciting, color infused athletic event for our middle school students as well as a STEM based fun day for our elementary students.
We are also proud to partner with the Ministry of Interior and introduce the Ma'an DARE program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), an educational program that will target teens and parents. We will be hosting an exhibition as well as educational and motivational talks to both our students and parents.
March 2020 will be "Family Fun" month as many family bonding activities will take place. We will end the year by having a gergaon party, as well as other Ramadan related activities.
We hope to see the support and enthusiasm that the IKNS community has always shown. Wishing everyone an amazing year!
